Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has added tracking and self-diagnostic services to enable customers to track their electricity and water consumption requests through DEWA’s smart app and website. Customers can view the expected arrival time of the technical team to conduct the inspection. The smart service will send an SMS notification including any billing adjustment if required after inspection. Customers can view the history of their request and DEWA’s action to resolve it.
HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, noted that DEWA continues to develop smart services according to the highest international standards. Customers can easily complete all their transactions anytime and anywhere. This is in line with the Smart Dubai initiative launched by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE to make Dubai the smartest city in the world.
This Service is part of the Smart Living initiative that DEWA launched recently. The several smart features allow customers to self-monitor their consumption by logging onto their accounts.
As part of the Smart Response initiative. DEWA also alerts customers of any high-water usage and helps to discover possible leaks in their water connections. Customers receive instant notifications if any unusual increase in consumption is detected by the smart meter system.
